I know some of what's new, but I'm not talking, b'c I've been told not to. Got my Scheepers Kitchen catalog yesterday. Nice line drawings. Maybe I got it b'c I splurged and bought a couple of hundred dollars worth of bulbs and stuff for Fall planting. Freda did that, bless her. After 2-3 years if you don't buy most places send you to the deep and since I haven't bought much veggie seed since I fell, I may come up short with many of the catalogs I normally would get. Looks like I'll just have to lessen the amount of snow we have to fit in the few catalogs I will get.

Got my SSE catalog the other day. This is the first time I remember that the pages aren't almost dripping with excess color. Those purple carrots finally look real, instead of like they were spraypainted at an auto body shop.

w00t!
I just received Baker Creek's. Jere says he's mailing out something like 110,000 of them. I quickly placed my order, wondering if he'll be crushed with requests in a month or two. Tormato |

I received my first catalogs on Christmas eve. I placed order already on TGS, for Black Zebra and quite many other tomato and pepper varieties; even I do not need more varieties to grow.
I just finished marking up Jung's vegetable catalog for seeds I would like to get. I do not know, if I should place the order or not, since I'm worried that the seeds will not arrive before we move out on second week of January. I wish the catalogs would have arrived couple of weeks earlier.

anyone seen Burpee's or Harris Seed? This is the 3rd year I have requested Burpee's and it just never arrives - loads of email sale, sale, sale, even phone calls didn't help. Piegirl

The last item I bought from Burpee was back in the mid-9o's when I bought plants and seed of what they then called Red Brandywine Hybrid, which them morphed eventually into Buck's County Red. I think you get my drift here re Burpee which isn't limited to just Buck's County Red.

I received both Burpee and Harris on Christmas Eve. No Santa didn’t bring them.
I haven’t had a chance to do anything more than give them a quick look but they do have pretty pictures. It will be interesting to see how many descriptions and pictures exaggerate the desirability of each variety. I’ve yet to see anyone describe a tomato as anything but delicious. But then I guess it wouldn’t be a good marketing decision to say “this tomato tastes like old socks” now would it?
