I love Green Zebra (sorry Worth!) Aunt Ruby was just okay for me....also Green Grape was not bad.
No worries I have never had it.
I suspect many of the complaints come from under ripe tomatoes but not all.

I love green zebra too. Here it develops intense sweet taste along with the acid, and it's a fruit machine.

I love them too. My go to is Cherokee Green. The are beautiful and a lovely contrast to the reds, pinks, yellows, etc. They have a different flavor that is excellent raw and a make a yummy different salsa.

Nicely balanced, but a little more sweet than acid. I like them.

How can someone dislike Green Zebra, that is beyond me
I would gladly have it any day over any red, pink and some yellows too... We here in the North havr to grow all these exotic-tasting tomatoes for their tropical flavor, since growing tropical fruits are a bit more challenging ..

Last year I got 6th in a tomato festival with Malakhitovaya Shkatulka. It would have won,but we got there late and missed the majority of voters. Not pruned in a container it's thirsty, thick, and burly with foliage. A magnet for mold, but I'm growing it again.

My Malachite Box died of mold last year as well. So did Esmerelda Golosina.

The only problem I had with it was a lot of BER. It was a bad year for it though. It produced like crazy and the later ones were very good.

I have read that, Hoosier.. Some folks seem to have that problem, but surprisingly I never saw one case of BER with my GZ. Other varieties, sadly, yes - plum/paste ones were the worst.

I got some Green Zebra Cherry and Cherokee Lime seeds from Marsha this year (Thanks!). The Cherokee Lime were very fast growing, I just planted them in my garden at 6 weeks old and they're as big as my biggest 8 week old plants and already have tiny little flower buds.

I also got a Green Zebra plant last year, but it got crowded out (it was a late-season afterthought), and I only got 2 tomatoes. I didn't get a chance to try them because my sister's dog ate them both (at separate times, but no other tomatoes), I managed to save some seeds from the second one, so I'm trying them again.

I have a Verde Claro started this year, seeds from Tania. I will let you know how I like it when I get some fruit. I am looking forward to trying it. I like sweet fruit, but never had a tomato sweeter than Sunsugar.
