South Carolina, heat and humidity! - Page 2

I am firther up in Southwest part of NC. Last year was my first season here. I did ok. I had more insect problem than anything else , Stink Bugs made my tomatoes ugly. Also had big green worms that ate new growth like goats.
The ones that did well were ; IS-PL., Big Beef, Brandy Boy , Sara Black Stupice, ARGG , Cupstralee ,Esterina , Sungold , German Queen , limmony and few of my own finds.
Start early to beat the heat. Space yourplants well and support them good. Prune leaf branches (and some side shoots =suckers). Those steps can be beneficial in humid and rainy conditions.

Gardeneer did you like the Sara Black? I have seeds for but have never grown it. How was production?

Would you join our Facebook group,"South Carolina vegetable gardeners" so that you might give some advice to some of our members.We need experienced gardeners because we have many beginning gardeners with little to no experience.
