Default Indigo Rose seeds with black streaks

I just fermented some seeds from Indigo Rose and noticed that there were some dark ones which I was going to remove. When I viewed them through the magnifying glass, it turned out that there were quite a few seeds with black streaks in them.

Does anyone know if this phenomena is peculiar to the Indigo Rose variety?

hi Linda,
I've noticed the black markings with that variety and many of the seeds also have an elongated shape. There is nothing wrong with the seed - it's just different.

Thanks Lee!

I noticed that when they dried, the dark streaks were not noticeable. They must be a "feature" of IR.
