Default Eggplants in Containers

So this year I decided to try and grow eggplants in containers...I have to say at this point the ones in the containers look so much better than the ones in the ground. I've got Zebra and lavendar in the containers as well as both types in the ground and what a difference. Now I'm a little confused as what to fertilize both the container plants and also the inground ones. I've got tomato tone as well as some aged compost, and bone meal. Usually I just use compost and get very few fruits, so this year I really would like to get a good crop. Any suggestions as organic as possible please.
