Wow Tam, they look great! I, too, will watch for your seed announcement. I would love to see what kind of sauce they make, or fresh on a sandwich. I love the history and stories behind all the things I grow.

Wow! My first George Detsika's Italian Red came in. Close to 2 lbs (1 lb 14 oz). Has to be the biggest tomato I've ever grown.

I am using single stem lean & lower this year.

Delicious, old fashioned taste - probably intensified by the dry heat we are having lately.

I love this variety! Mine are solid, which is perfect for tomato sandwiches (toasted sprouted or sourdough bread, gingery peanut sauce if we don't have a ripe avocado, thick slice of George Detsikas, thin slices of sweet onion -- yum!).

This year they are my largest and most productive sandwich tomato. I'm growing a few others that are also large and productive, but that are too juicy for the perfect tomato sandwich. A few others have a more intense flavor, but are producing only small tomatoes so far.
