I like them! I use most for pickling, the rest for fresh eating. Similar to a Jalapeno, but thicker skin, thinner flesh. Very good taste, but overall not quite up there with a good Jalapeno considering the skin/flesh ratio.

The Iraqi pepper is really taking on a nice deep red, pics from this afternoon and early evening.

That's an impressive list of peppers Mojave. I tend to get impatient with how long some of the hotter pepper seeds take to germinate. I've read that one could soak them in water beforehand, but i haven't tried it. How do you germinate your hot peppers?

The Iraq pepper is something of a mystery. The pepper turning red is about six inches long on a 19 inch tall plant. It's funny, I gave up on bell types several years back as they don't do well at all in the heat and never produce for me. Maybe something in these plant's Iraqi heritage gave them heat tolerance.

I'll be able to give you a report on the taste and heat in another couple of days!

I usually start my seeds in mid February in those mini plastic greenhouses and an assortment of seedling six packs and lot's of plastic cups. Pretty basic and inexpensive. I don't presoak any seeds, just put them into the starting mix and keep them moist. All these go on or near electric gro-mats in a heated room/closet. This year the back bathroom became my "greenhouse". My DW thinks I'm crazy.

Ahh, yours are turning red, nice! I've got a lot of peppers on mine but they are still all black.
