Default Seed developers - take my Armenia varieties

I bought these seeds in Yerevan four years ago, and I have planted all of them here in Atlanta. Got great results from Anahit and Araquel - and from some others.

Armenia was the largest tomato producer in the former Soviet Union, although due to transport issues much of the tomato industry has collapsed today.

I would like to give these seed packs to someone interested in growing them out, and marketing what seems promising. I don't think any of these varieties are on the market in the US today:

Anahit -- see http://www.tomatoville.com/showthrea...hlight=armenia One of the most famous Armenian CVs from USSR times.
Bred by Armenian Horticultural Breeding Station from a local non-CV.
Vigorous RL plant with light-green leaves and globe-oblate orange-red 150-250 g fruit. Midseason to mid-late.

Nver
- A 2008 report from Armenia Min of Ag says "Two varieties of tomato “Gandzak” and “Nver” created through distant hybridization with wild species have been released."

Lia - Seems to have been improved in the 1990s in Armenia.

Gandzak
- A 2008 report from Armenia Min of Ag says "Two varieties of tomato “Gandzak” and “Nver” created through distant hybridization with wild species have been released." The Scientific Center of Vegetables and Industrial Crops (SCVIC) under the authority of the Ministry of Agriculture released 35 varieties from the period of 2000–2004. The released varieties of tomato (‘Lusaber’, ‘Ranny Nush’, ‘Sofi’, ‘Gandzak’, ‘Mush’, ‘Arakel’, ‘Noi’,
‘Norakert’, ‘Donik’, ‘Berdavani-401’, ‘Novy Anait-351’ and ‘Novy Anait-361’)

Araqel
-- The Scientific Center of Vegetables and Industrial Crops (SCVIC) under the authority of the Ministry of Agriculture.has released 35 varieties from the period of 2000–2004. The released varieties of tomato (‘Lusaber’, ‘Ranny Nush’, ‘Sofi’, ‘Gandzak’, ‘Mush’, ‘Arakel’, ‘Noi’,
‘Norakert’, ‘Donik’, ‘Berdavani-401’, ‘Novy Anait-351’ and ‘Novy Anait-361’)

Getapnya
-- Reported as "Getapnya is becoming best among late ripe cultivars, and totally, among all 16 cultivars of tomato." at http://www.agrscience.ge/abstract3_2.htm

Here is the original thread from 2013, with pics of the seed packs:

I would imagine that also many hobby gardeners with Armenian background would rejoice at the opportunity. There aren't that many varieties from Armenia easily available to the public in the Western countries.

As an Armenian, I know I'd love to share these with other Armenian gardeners in the family and within friends and community...especially those Armenian-Syrian refugees that I've been working with that have arrived within the last 2 years.

Will send a pm.

Edit: Tried adding a pm, but your mailbox is full, Scott.

I just tried again. And the response I got was: "ScottinAtlanta has exceeded their stored private messages quota and cannot accept further messages until they clear some space."

Scott, I am not a business that sells seeds as in marketing, but I would like to add them to my next seed offer in order to spead them around. Several of my seed producers are also SSE members and they then list them with SSE,which would also help.

When the seeds of rare varieties are not grown out and seeds saved from them,it often happens that such varieties become obsolete and I hate to see that happen, and it has happened in the past.

I guess I'm supposed to send you a PM with my adress and will do so today.

Thanks for the offer,

Carolyn, who is another person who doesn't delete her PM's as she should.
