I'm writing to say thank you for the seeds I received in this swap. This year I got the Lima beans planted. Many of them failed, but some did ok. Yay! I am super pleased. This was just what I needed to get a genetically diverse population started that might have some hope of adapting to my garden.

So thanks again!

Joseph,

For cold tolerance, you may want to do a search for lima beans NY305 (Geneva) and NY 315.

If you only enter the search terms "lima" and "Geneva", you'll get flight schedules between Switzerland and Peru.

I still have one flowering lima bean plant in the garden, that doesn't know it's days are over very soon.

What was that big shelly that Dar grew a few years back? Cant remember the name but he finally ordered it somewhere. Huge, light colored seeds.

Gigandes, a runner bean.

There is a recipe for them where they are breaded and baked.

I'm about half done sorting my bean collection, along with adding the beans coming in. I'll be posting the MMMM bean list, hopefully, sometime next week.
