African Queen was a bit late for me, will be just right for you I think. I grew That Russian Tomato beef and loved it. Also Bear Claw, JD, Black Bear, Karma Pink and Arkashin, all favorites to be grown again.

Anna Margaret's Heart is one that grew almost like a multiflora for us. Large hearts growing like that is something to see.

Dear Ted,
An amazing list indeed, my humble tomatoes are in some illustrious company in that fabulous list. Thank you very much for giving some of your space to some untried tomatoes from my projects.
I hope they do not dissapoint and I look forward very much to your valued assessments.
I wish you an excellent season!

In all likelihood, that list will grow a bit. I have in the past planted more than 200 plants (130 varieties) and once over 300. It's getting harder to keep that up as my age comes on me like a downhill train wreck.

Some of those on this list are for seed restock. Some are my favorites - the ones I really like for eating. And some are new ones to try and possibly find more "good tasting" ones to offer for sale on the website.

Thank you for the kind words. I will probably grow all of the ones I received from your offer. And, I look forward to checking them out for "Good Tasting". BTW, my favorites of all time are Cherokee Purple, Henderson's Pink Ponderosa, Pink Brandywine, and Grandma Oliver's Chocolate.

I like all tomatoes and have only had one that I considered a real "spitter". Someone had sent me a red, plum-shaped cherry under the name of "Hawkins" I tried everything from "pick it at 1st blush" to "leave it on the vine" and even adding a sprinkle of salt and/or sugar. I ended up feeding the remainder of those seeds to the birds and burned the vines.

As I said, the list is very fluid right now. It will likely continue to change even as I begin to drop seeds into the mix.

And, Marsha, I saw that "What she said" comment.

You ladies have once again shown the real nature of this wonderful community we call Tomatoville.

Take care

Hey and Howdy, Miss Clara. Yes, Pulheim Red is going to get one more test. Last season, I got only hearts from both the heart and the round labeled seeds.

And don't forget to plant enough seeds for Henry's Sunshine to make sure that we get only dwarfs I'll be doing the same. If I find a "non-dwarf", I'll most likely pursue it as a separate line.

And while I'm at it, a very happy and wonderful Valentine's Day to you and yours. Give young Henry a hug and tell him I sent it.

And, a super-duper Happy Valentine's Day to all the other ladies out there.

Nice list Ted! What would you say is the closest comparison to Cherokee Purple in a Dwarf?
What you said in regards to Valentines Day above

Of the ones that I've grown, my vote would be for Boronia. Check out the full description on Tatianna's Tomatobase.

Here's a small part: "Cherokee Purple in quality. A member of the Happy family (New Big Dwarf X Paul Robeson)"

Another one that is very close in taste is "Faelen's First Snow".

I am aware of a few others that are still in development, but that should get you started in the right direction.

If you grow this one anytime soon, try a piece of "Grandma Oliver's Chocolate" taken from the bloom scar area. My wife who says that almost all tomatoes are way too tart, finally agreed to try a small piece and while her eyes lit up, she said "That's amazing!!" My comment was something about the most complex, yet pleasantly slightly sweet and full flavor". I've never tasted anything like it before. It was my favorite of the 2018 season. BTW, the rest of this tomato is also super-duper. I had nothing negative say about it. Well, maybe I should have planted more plants.

It is a great list!!!
I want to grow this season about 200 varieties - it is enough!
but - I should renew many of my older seeds....perhaps 2020

Nice Lady, you have a seed collection second to none. I hope you are finding lots of folks to trade with. Your generosity knows no bounds.

For Tomatoville members, if you want to get some very unique varieties to try, then PM asmx91. She has access to varieties you can only dream about.

Take care, my friend and I wish you a hugely successful season ahead.
