About the same time around 2003 I bought this bigger one out of Houston.
As you can see it says made in the USA. Then a few years later I bought this SawzAll from a tool supplier. As you can see it says Milwaukee USA but it doesn't say made in the USA. I used to be a die hard Milwaukee guy until they sold out to Home Depot a few years back. Thats pretty much when all their stuff started being made in china. Now i stick with Porter Cable or Hilti.

I really like my Ridgid cordless tools; it's Home Depot's brand. I just now read the labels on them...yep, made in China. I've gotten a lot of use out of them, though. I think the Ridgid cordless tools are on par with Dewalt and Milwaukee for quality.

A great router BUT the idiots made the router body non standard sized from everyone else. At least I have two routers now one has a bit in it that has been there for years and will stay there. It is a rabbit bit for rabbiting the backs of cabinets to drop in 1/4 inch backs. Worth |

I had to replace my water heater recently. Thanks to new government energy-efficiency standards, all water heaters now have extra insulation around them. What a great idea, right? The problem is that my water heater closet was built to hold the older ones. I had to cut out two walls before it would fit into the closet. I still haven't drilled a new hole in the floor for the pressure relief valve output. The new water heater sits over the old hole.
It makes me wonder, how much energy are we really saving here, if everyone has to cut down their walls to replace a water heater? That certainly took energy. |

Worth, your marmalade looks really delish! What a combination of flavors! I love regular orange marmalade a lot and made a big batch up last season, along with a small batch of blood orange marmalade. I gave a lot away in gift baskets last season for Christmas. I also made some lemon and lime curd to go in the baskets. They sure look pretty in jars!

The cranberry sauce turned out the best I have ever made. I used the regular recipe on the bag and added 4 packets of Knox Gelatine. I used two 12 ounce bags of cranberries.and added some pectin. Darn it all.
I had five more Habanero peppers to use up and the remaining mandarins. So the first picture is the final results of my experiments. The next picture is the results of all of the experiments.
