Default My First Ripe Variety of the Season - - Dwarf Metallica

Yep, believe it or not - Dwarf Metallica beat out Early Girl (and all others) this Year.




Since this is my Grandaughter's EarthTainer (she watered it every week) I will need to wait for her to pick and taste the first one (promise I made her):



Those are her fish guarding the plants.

Such a beautiful tomato. Watch the weight! I'm getting early ones as well. They are very
heavy for their size. I had to support one yesterday as it started to pull away from the
main stem...
But we are busy just keeping plants alive and healthy in unusual heat. Hit 99º today.
I have 10-12 in the farm row and 8-10 Metallica in grow bags on the deck.
Way too busy for final count now with this heat wave...

Nice to see it so gorgeous and so early.

Please up-date as I have three fruits that are just shy of heart shape like last year.

Here is one pic from last week. (work is a drag and get home so late these days)...
I am picking cherries from micros to fill a bowl daily but started those in January...
