looking back at my tomato pics, it seems the first harvest of Summer Sweet Gold was Aug. 9th - which is relatively early for tomatoes here .... however, 2015 was one for the record books in terms of heat units and the plant was grown in a container

I'm in the PNW also! I know how ripening can get delayed here, I was just curious if the 90 days Victoryseeds.com quoted as DTM was somewhat correct or not. So far out of 2 seasons for me the later varieties just haven't performed well for me at all such as pineapple.

I had a feeling the 90 days wasn't correct or it could have just been a off season.

Thanks James! I know the climate here in the PNW makes a lot of DTM's listed from elsewhere useless due to our cold nights and reduced humidity. I tend to trust Victoryseeds since they are just down the road (almost) from me. I was just curious what another fellow PNW gardner was experiencing with this one. It can be frustrating though how some varieties just don't perform here at all but I guess the people from all over the US feel the same way!

I think it's easier to find good tasting yellows/gold than reds for example. Reds tend to have a more acidic byte, but also much sweeter, yellows are generally more balanced to my tastebuds.
Galina cherry is a must grow.
Azoychka is a bit more sour but in a good day it's fantastic (very soft though). Very early for it's size.
Aunt Gertie's Gold also can be fantastic with the best texture in a tomato but it's legitimately stingy with production, tried in 2 different gardens.
Sungold can be good, but splitting combined with really thick skin, and less than efficient in production, I pass on it now after a few years.

I'm with Worth1 and "Lemon Boy"... yes, it's a hybrid but the flavor, shelf life and production are all great with this variety, and there are 4 plants out in the garden flowering like crazy.
