Default How hot is it?

Hi,

Well, I don't have the exact figures at hand , but for the past couple of weeks we've been in the midst of a heat wave with temps up to 109 . I had an empty, uncovered 20 gallon Rubbermaid Roughneck trash can sitting out in the open on top of some Panda film with the white side up for several days. It was "plumbed" for one of my Kratky projects with spigots/valves installed as well as some 1/4" tubing outlets. It just needed silver mulch or reflectix applied to the outside and it would be ready to go .

So yesterday, I finally got around to covering the trash can and when I went out to fetch it, was surprised to see it had melted in three spots! It almost looks like the Panda film in those spots might have caught on fire - although that does seem pretty far fetched. Hum..... I'm a bit baffled .

Amazing photos to follow.

Anne
