Default 2014 Garden - beyond the balcony

So up until this year, I had been doing only container gardening on my balcony. This year I decided to expand and got a plot at the community gardens a few blocks from my house. So now I've got 3 raised beds there in addition to the balcony. Not doing as much on the balcony this year, just a few peppers, a cherry tomato plant, potatoes, some greens, radishes and carrots. I have 16 tomato plants at the community garden, plus some more potatoes, peppers, a couple eggplants, a couple cucumbers, a couple squash, onions and beans. Here's some photos of the garden so far, starting with the before and after photos of the community garden plots(they were really overgrown with weeds). Also some photos after the beds were planted, followed by some photos from the balcony.

Well aren't you having fun! You have some room to grow now. It sure makes it easier and more productive to have a patch of soil.
Looks great! Plants are nice and healthy.

Looking great! I love the picture of your cat helping out with the gardening It's great that the community garden is so close to your house, I'd imagine it might be a bit trying if it was too far to be convenient.

Yeah, its definitely very convenient. The cat is just a neighborhood stray, she seems to wander into the gardens from time to time and is very friendly. I tried to get her to help but she was more interested in sunbathing than helping me weed, lol.

What a wonderful job you've done to turn that weedy plot into a beautiful and productive garden.

Thanks, things are progressing pretty well. Picked the first couple of ripe tomatoes(one yesterday and one last week), getting squash almost daily now too.
First tomato - Speckled Roman:

This weekends harvest, the grow bag of potatoes on my balcony was ready, plus a couple of squash and tomatoes, Speckled Roman and JDs Special C-Tex(the bottom of which is probably one of the ugliest tomatoes I've ever grown).
