Roselle is blooming
Roselle hibiscus is one of my garden toys this year because I read that the flower calyxes can be used to brew an old time, refreshing red tea. The young leaves can also be used in salads and stir fries. I've got four plants that I started from seed. Three have been planted in the ground and the nicest one is in a big pot out in the garden. They're starting to bloom. The flower is about 2" wide at most and nothing remarkable but that's not what it's being grown for.
This is a good link with a video about growing and using Roselle: https://ourpermaculturelife.com/how-...us-sabdariffa/ |
