Default Does table salt harm seeds?

Hi,

All of my cucumber seeds from last year developed some kind of black powdery mold. A few months ago I bathed the seeds in a salt bath, dried them back out and stored them in a container with some table salt. That seems to have fixed the black mold problem.

Looking at them now... they appear extremely dried out and kinda like those baked sunflower seeds you buy at the gas station.

Did I ruin my batch of seeds? Does salt kill the seed?

Thanks.
