is an idea of how big the bulb will be, I'll be happy!!

It is by far the biggest, thickest that I have grown! Easily wider than my finger!

I have about 4 or the ten I planted this size and the other are fat as well!

Georgian Fire! I've only grown a few different vaieties, but this one is by far my favorite! Hot and strong!

Thanks! I hope it does make a huge bulb. My garlic is struggling this year. I think the winter took it's toll. The only variety thriving is German White which is from my own seed stock.

I hope it does too. Only 5-8 cloves to a bulb, all large and easy to peel. I've never smelled anything stronger than this one. My fav.

It was a semi-mild winter and a really wet spring which helped. Fed it fish emulsion a couple times. That's it.

I'm going to post when it's ready. Not even close yet. No scape yet.

Is that a variety of elephant garlic? The stems really remind me of the way E. garlic grows.

If that one produces the largest bulb, then it's off limits for eating and only for re-planting, right?

Heck no!!!

It will meet it's demise in something special!

I've got ten of them so a few, 3-4, will meet the sauce, prob 2 will get replanted, and the rest will be added to a really good dish!

I really like this garlic. The flavor and smell is intense!!

The last time I used it, I honestly didn't need the whole clove. It called for 2-3 cloves but 3/4 of one was enough. LOVE garlic but it can easily overwhelm.

Oh my goodness!! That Georgia Fire is on FIRE!! Wow!!

I just took off the straw covering my garlic so they can get some sunshine. A few are about 4 inches so far. Not sure if they will catch up to yours.. heehee
