Default Germination and greenhouse question

I was unsuccessful in germinating my tomatoes in my greenhouse; two weeks, on a heat mat, nada. (I'm in California, where we still have a chance of frost until May, though most days have been pretty nice, evening temps can occasionally drop)

So I brought them inside, voila, 3 days, like usual, we have lift off!

So my question is, when do I transition them back to the greenhouse? Now, before their true leaves have appeared or later, when the plant is more established? I'm a little worried about them becoming leggy, I have them in my bathroom under the skylight, but I doubt they will be happy there for long.
