Default I can't seem to figure out what these marking are

Hi All,

Please help me identify these markings on my tomatoes:

My camera battery was dead, so I had to take pics inside. Tomorrow, I can provide better pictures taken outside.

Thanks for your help.

Cheers,

Angelique

Unfortunately it looks like Spotted Wilt Virus (TSWV) to me. How does the foliage look on that plant? Check out Lee's post on TSWV at the top of this forum for lots of great pics and what to do with the affected plant.

Thanks gardenmama. My leaves don't look like Lee's, however, some of them are yellow. My trouble plants are:

SFT
Earl de Edgecombe
Cabot

All three plants are in pots. However, Earl de Edgecombe and Cabot are in pots (and soil) that have had other veggies grown in previously.

SFT is in a new pot with new pot soil. I think that the SFT has sunscald or ber. The foliage is very sparse on this plant and it needs watering more often than other plants. This will definitely be my last year growing SFT.

Here is a picture:

This year, is the first year, that i have had problems with whiteflies. Could they have done the damage on my SFT?

Just out of curiosity, how would I have gotten TSWV?

Your last couple of pictures look like TSWV to me, too. The virus is passed on by little bugs called Thrips. But you say your foliage doesn't have any spots or dark markings? Does the growth of any of your plants seem stunted?

Hi Shelleybean,

All of the plants that are affected are dwarf (cabot and SFT) or small plants (Earl de Edgecombe). My SFT and Cabot are about 27" and Earl de Edcombe is about 8' taller. I don't know if these measurement extremely small for these varieties.
