I think Im sold on multiplier or smaller onions. I traded for some Egyptian Walking Onions a few years ago, and have a good population built up so I dont mind eating them more now! theyre very easy, and the bottom bulbs get about chestnut size.
I tried some potato onions from SSE, but with our weird spring and moving, the sets got all squishy and died. I bought some Heritage white sweet onions this fall, and theyre poking their little greens up. Will report on them! I like scallions, chives, and small onions, and I figure if I can grow those well, its a start! |
