I have grown out and saved 4th of July seed. I'm on F-6 or better right now and they've always seemed the same for me.

I grew them one year as a spring planted tomato and thought they were very good. Tried them for a fall crop and the nematode population must have been too high. They limped along but didn't produce and the roots were terribly knotted.
Might have to try grafting on nematode resistant rootstock and setting them out in June for fall production. |
