I encourage anyone to try this system. I put glue on labels on the cannister, mark the variety, source and date
with a black felt tip marker and I am set to go.
I'm a testing diabetic and used to save all those small vials that the test strips come in but don't anymore b'c I have my own ways of storing saved seeds.

Forget it with the hospitals, where I just was if you read any of the thread that my brother put up b'c they buy test strips in bulk to use not for finger testing of blood but for use in a machine which takes a different kind of strip, at least at the hospital where I was and have been before for two new hips and four severed quads in the right leg and a wicked kidney stone, 4th surgery for those devils.

Carolyn...thanks for the info. I was just looking for a faster way to accumulate those little
cannisters. We save close to 50 per year, but my addiction to seeds is running ahead of
that pace.

I use the recipients for pills (me and my wife need some medication).
For storrage (tomato, pepper seeds) two things are important
1. constant cool temperature, lower than germination level 15 ºC = 59 ºF
2. no water vapors inside of recipients, I have silicagel grounds around
