Well, unfortunately the Paul Robeson is displaying BER. Is there anything that I can do?

I followed the earth trainer directions...

Andrea,
Don't sweat it too much. It tends to affect early tomatoes and then grows out of it.
Hopefully it will only be on a few.
Others can give better advice than I though.
In the meantime, read Carolyn's post in this thread for more information.

Black Krim has always been a slightly smaller plant for me.

I checked my cucs and squash plants today and I have both the Squash Vine Borer and the Cucumber beetle. UGH, is there anything I can do? I just planted more cucumbers.

(sigh)

EDit: I take that back...I think that it is only the cucumber beetle. One has stripes and one has dots?????

I've never been able to grow anything viney here, because of the borers or whatever. Tried cucumbers, tried squash. I just gave up.

I just purchased some cucumber seedlings from the nursery a couple of days ago. I wonder if they came on them?

I'd think it's more likely they just found you. Mine always looked wonderful, just before they croaked. I hope yours do better than mine.

Well, not sure but it seems as though the Sevin took care of the cucumber beetles. I searched the leaves for eggs and didn't find any. So i guess time will tell. They do have a yellow tint to them...

As far as everything else. so far so good. I have had to throw out about 7-8 Paul Robeson tomatoes due to BER. It was the worse so far. I think it may have worked itself out. Haven't seen anymore. I have a bunch of green black cherry. The pink brandywine has the largest tomato but also the least amount.

We finally got some rain! Not sure how much but the ground is wet. yeah

Overall shot

Black Cherry in front

Brandywine on Left and Carmello on Right

Big Zac (need to get an extention quick)

Crockneck Squash and Zuch, cucs

Black Krim (Left) Paul Robeson (Right)

Okay I have a few updates... On a good note: I have a few Black Cherry tom's that are getting some color. This is my first black type tomato, how do I know when they are ripe?

Well I guess the cucumber beetles did my cucs in. I thought that we took care of them...

Well I did get concerned about the leaves on my Brandywine. So I did quite a big trimming. In turn, it did expose my one big tomato. I am worried that it may get sunscald. Should I cut it?

Here are some pictures of the leaves...

The last 2 pictures is Drought Stress, it'll pass, just keep up with watering and do a rain dance.
I wouldn't worry about Sun Scald.

Black Cherry will be ripe when all the green is gone, do a squeeze test, nice and juicy but not too firm, then eat it. Larger blacks will many times be ripe with green shoulders.

The Squash and Zucchini look awesome.
I'm not sure about the Cucumbers from what I can see in the picture, they look all white. Cucumber Beetles can carry Bacterial Wilt which will cause the whole plant to wilt and collapse and turn dead brown.
