I don't like wasting water so I need to be able to have it close enough to me to turn the water off in front of the Hozon. This would allow me to move from point A to point B, without having my fertilized water getting everything else wet, including the ground I am walking on, which would then be a waste of my fertilizer too. So, using a 15' hose like my husband suggested is a great solution for me. I could have my bucket right there with me and watch my fluid levels at the same time.
I am trying to keep you from hauling that bucket around.
Later I will draw out what I am talking about.
One thing you can do is install a ball check valve inline with the pick up tube.
This would allow you to turn the water on and off at you hose end not the faucet.
This ball check would stop water from back flowing into the fertilizer container when you shut the water off down stream from the injector.
Instead of a bucket go buy a gallon of wine.
Drink the wine and use the nice glass gallon jug to hold your fertilizer mix.
This way you can see it empty.
All of this stuff would be at the faucet.

The above links are just examples of what I am talking about.
You should be able to get what you need at the big box stores.

Okay, gotcha, thanks. So, if I were to set something like that up to my 15' hose I would be able to add my watering wand to it?

Just fed the TTF and the vegetable food to my garden. I forgot to give the bell peppers the TTF but those did get the vegetable. I did give the TTF to the tomato, cantaloupe, and watermelons. The vegetable food was given to everything else. I took pics to see the comparison from today and the next couple of days. I'll see what changes I get from the new food. I fed everything last sunday with my old stuff so this time I only gave 1 gallon of the new stuff. Just wanted to give a kick to the plants because our heat indexes have been so high this week. Today it will be between 105 and 109 degrees with a very low wind of only 7 mph. It will be hot.

Now, what I can say is, my old 3.5 years old stuff was very thick and bubbly, it also smelled similar to yeast. It was very alive. This new vegetable is thin like I remember it was when I first bought it. It quickly separates in comparison to the old stuff. I was constantly mixing the old stuff just because, but the separation of the new stuff is much more evident in the measuring cup between each gallon of water I treated.

Yes then you wouldn't have to wag the bucket around.
This stuff goes on the siphon tube to the fertilizer.
You could just use the ball check if you want.
The other valve would be when you just wanted to water.

Just received an email that my Hozon has been delivered by USPS. So, hubby will bring it in when he gets the mail at the community box down the street when he comes home today. Hopefully we can play with it tomorrow with some water and bucket to see how it does siphoning. Tonight is our friends birthday and we're heading out for dinner this evening.

Anyone have experiencing ordering TTF to Canada? I've been trying and can't do it online nor do they answer the number on the website. I've tried multiple times. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong.

I have discovered (I think) one common thing in all tomato fertilizers :

THEY ALL HAVE HIGHER PERCENTAGE OF K (POTASSIUM ) than N and P.
Well, potatoes are the same way.

Haven't tried out the hozon yet. Got busy with hubby so we put it off until next weekend.

I do have a question about bitter cucumbers though. If you all remember I posted somewhere that my garden was dry as a bone in spite of having had lots of rain the few days before I discovered this fiasco. The day before everything was plenty wet so I did not water, but next day I noticed cucumbers, cantaloupe and beans were wilting in the heat. I then discovered it was all dry and watered really quick. I watered again that night to give it a boost. I also fed the next day.

Everything seemed to bounce back but the cucumbers are now very bitter so I am afraid I might lose the plant to pulling it if I can't get a nice tasting cucumber back again. I picked one last night and it wasn't as bitter, but still bitter so I fed some TTF again to it and the cucumbers as well as the watermelon to make sure they all have plenty of food. It's been so hot here lately I am sure they are feeding hard. Do you think I can fix this bitter problem?

Are you growing just one variety ? Some may turn more bitter than other.
Less water and high heat is a big factor.
The bitterness is mostly at the stem end. I know a trick that might work.
Cut off about 1/2" from stem end with a sharp knife.
Now rub the two surface together untill lots of cream comes out. The bitterness should come out with that cream.

I have only one cucumber plant because I didn't know how big it would get so I planted in the middle of my 4'x4' bed, it filled it out real good, lol. I have beens planted to the side of it and flowers all around it. I tried that trick and it did not work at all.
