Hugh's/Hugh's Yellow?

Hi all! I just received a bunch of seeds in a round robin, and one of them is marked as Hugh's Yellow. I did a search on Hugh's Yellow, and only got hits for Hugh's; I'm hoping it actually is Hugh's. Is it? Or are they two different varieties?

It's Hugh's, not Hugh's Yellow.

Sometimes folks just add a color name to a variety and change the name, which I don't like to see.

One of the few yellow varieties that stays yellow at maturity and doesn't turn gold.

From Madison County, Indiana, grown since about 1940 and there's a full write up on the background at SESE.

I like it very much and included it in my book as well.

Hi,
I'm growing a green variant of Hugh's from kind Craig in South Australia. So he added Hugh's (Green) to the label. Which seems a fair enough modification for ID purposes. Don't you think?

How or why it's green I do not know

And despite being 8ft tall and four months old nada a fruit to be seen

If it's green then it isn't Hugh's and should not be called Hugh's.

So why don't you and Craig discuss this before any seeds are passed around?

Clearly it's a cross of some kind, yes?

I think it must be a cross. I better find out more from Craig. I will cease to use the name Hugh's Green and will simply refer to it as Unknown Green or Ug from now on

Thankfully, it's an RL. Another Green Mystery PL would be too much to take.
