Company is coming THIS weekend, not next! (I've been working in the heat too much! Brain not clear.) So, I think we will all be there with plenty of tomatoes... I guess I'll bring stuff for making Caprese, and maybe a dessert (chocolate of course) if I have time!
See y'all soon! Lisa

I asked for some nice weather on the 18th: about 80 with a breeze and sunshine. :-)

Not sure if I'll be able to make it. Family stuff planned for the same day. But if I can swing it, I'll be there!

Are there grills at the park...or will anyone be bringing a grill? I want to put my jally halves on one when I get there. My DW said she will make pasta salad.

CHOPTAG Taste Fest
I have talked with friend, Larry, and he has plans to join us. He missed the gathering in the spring and is looking forward to seeing everyone.
Now, we are trying to decide on what tasty treats to bring. Perhaps we should fast that day! LOL Have a good week and try and stay cool! Gary

If this holds true it will certainly be different. Scroll down to Saturday.

Well, I'm definitely out. I'm also supposed to be running a fund raising car wash for my son's hockey team. Bummer!
Anyway, take lots of pictures! |

Feldon,
I was looking at the high of 74. We haven’t had a daytime high below 90 in 16 days. I’m going to bring a winter coat.

Hey Chris,
I ate my first Green Giant yesterday. Wow!! I loved it. That was actually the first "green when ripe" tomato I've ever eaten. It was very good. I will grow more greens next year.

Chris,
I just saw your post. So sorry you would be able to make it. I’ll eat your share of tomatoes and report back to you on how they tasted.

If I hadn't already shirked my duties once by attending Tomatopalooza, I'd be seriously tempted! Low 70's is my favorite outdoor temperature. Hopefully it doesn't knock down the flavor of any fruit still on the vines.
