What mulch I have purchased there was a fine shredded wood mulch.
It was black and I used it on my golden goddess bamboo.

It held water well and breaks down easily into the soil overtime.

I got it at Home Depot and it comes in many colors.

I have no idea what brand or what it was called.
It was wood not bark.

Oh wow, I was trying to stay away from the colored mulch. I thought that it would probably be bad.

That would depend on what products you were planning to use. What do you have?

I don't see any real concern with using any combination of those on the same day. Being cautious about mixing chemicals or mixing chemicals with live biological's like Actinovate, it's always a good idea to do some research or ask the manufacturers of the products if there is any negative issues mixing their product with others you have.
Others here have asked if there was any problem with mixing Actinovate with a Neem Oil product (like Bonide Tomato and Vegetable 3 in 1) which I think was a valid concern because Neem Oil has anti-bacterial properties against at least some types of bacteria , but according to Natural Industries, the only pesticides that are incompatible with Actinovate is "copper based products and any bactericide"

At what point do you stop pinching the flowers off? What size?

Why are you pinching flowers? to encourage Veg cycle? I would let nature do its thing.

Many times a plant will put out blooms way too young and they expend the energy on the baby and not the plant.
I have seen blooms on 4 inch plants before.

The same goes for animals including us the growing fetus can take everything from the immature mother while she is still growing.
This can cause the calf and the mother to be stunted in livestock.
