This post isn't a recipe but a product.
It is Valentina Hot Sauce.
Lets break it down.
The stinking Tabasco brand is now so over priced it is down right ridiculous
12 ounces at Wall Mart for frigging $6.23, give me a break.
On top of that it is heat and has no flavor but salt and vinegar.
I can get a 34 ounce bottle of the regular or extra hot Valentina for $2.08.
You get heat and flavor and it is thick.
You can taste the chilies in it.
If you see this stuff give it a try you wont be sorry.
Another good product is Louisiana Supreme Habanero sauce at $0.79 cents for a 6 ounce bottle.
Very tasty not too hot and is made with Habanero peppers carrots garlic lime juice vinegar and onions.
Every day I treat myself to a full shot of hot sauce straight out of a shot glass.

Our Cheap Eaten tonight is BBQ chicken leg quarters and baked potatoes. The best part is - I'm cooking them outside in an electric pizza oven because it's too hot to cook inside.

And I refuse to turn on the AC in March

My idea of a flavored drink without the sugar.
It also helps with working out in the heat and cold considering the only other thing I drink is about two beers a day and water.
I have been drinking hot sauce almost all of my life and even carried it in my school lunch.
I got slapped in the face by my 3rd grade school teacher for drinking hot sauce at lunch one time at school out of a teaspoon.
It was the only time I know of that my mother came down on them for punishing me.
I never will forget that old bag Lawrence was her last name.

Our cheap dinner tonight was homemade waffles w/ homemade syrup (just learn how to tap our maple trees and make syrup) w/a side of homegrown eggs with store bought corned beef hash.

Thanks Worth! My husband LOVES hot sauce (he's a new york guy through and through lol) and we're always buying different ones to try. He eats it on just about anything when he's in the mood for some spicy!

Your welcome I buy the Valentina at our HEB store The Wall Mart price was on line I have no idea if they have it where you live but if they dont I can assure you it is good stuff.
One of the top selling hot sauces in Mexico.
The common stereotype for Mexicans is hot food that is wrong it is flavor and heat.
You simply cant go wrong with hot salsa/sauce out of Mexico from my experience.

Tonight's meal is home ground chili meat from brisket in a cast iron skillet with russet potatoes on top salt pepper and garlic with a lid on till the taters are done.
With hot sauce on top at the plate.
I was starving and it hit the spot.

I love this stuff:

The last Mexican place I visited did not have this sauce in a bottle. Their version was a freshly made sauce that had a creamy texture from the avocado pureed into it. It was still quite hot, though....good stuff.

I do too but the price has went up in the past few years.
And the reason you like it is because it is made with one of the pepper varieties I keep saying is so good.
Chili Arbol.
The other chili in it is Piquin/Pequin.

Still haven't found any that I like more than Tapatio, but it has disappeared from local shelves.

I'll have to check some of the dollar stores around here (we have to pay the extra penny around here). Thanks!

Out here we have The Dollar Tree and The 99 Cent Store. I haven't seen it at the Dollar Tree. If you can't find it try Amazon. Or even email the company. It's really good sauce, I know!

I just looked-Amazon has it! But it'd sure be cheaper for a dollar.
