I ate my first KARMA Pink this morning, it was excellent!

Happy you liked it! When did you plant? Seems lateish for the first one ripe

May 19th. About how many days does it normally take?

Well varies, but are you in a higher elevation?
Most have been in the range of 65 days or so from planting out. When did you sow seed? Generally around 110 days from seeding.
Anyway, just interested, what else have you had ripe before it?

I am at a higher elevation 4200. Seeds sowed on 3/18. So far ripe before it has been in the following order Iva's Red Berry, Remy Rouge, two of Dan Follet's Multifora's, Beauty King, Sleeping Lady, Pruden's Purple, Biskaya Roza, Martino's Roma and in the next couple of days Chris' Greek Mama will follow. KARMA pink is coming back next year that's for sure, you two did a great job on this one.

Found the first blush on a Karma pink this morning. Everything is running a little late around here this year. Can't wait to try it!

We came back from holidays and lots of ripen KARMA Pink were waiting for us in the tunnel. They"ve survived my son's watering and heat wave. KP looks and tastes extraordinary. I am saving seeds for the next year.

My oldest KARMA Pink plant is now putting out ripening fruit regularly. There are many trusses on the plant and each tomato in this picture is taken from a different truss. They are from as low as 1 ft above the container bottom to over 5 ft above the bottom. They are in varying degrees of ripeness, and I'm going to let them sit for another day or two before tasting because they are all quite firm at this time. The sizes of the fruit vary all over the plant, too, but I think my fruit size is generally smaller than the others' KP's, as are my other varieties. I think this is due to my 5,300 ft elevation and hot, dry climate.

Here is the first Karma Pink eaten by me. Look at the size of it!

I let the others continue to ripen on the counter and I must say I preferred the taste of the darker red ones with no hint of yellow or orange. It was a complex blend of tart first, then deep tomato flavor, with sweetness as an end note. Like a fine wine, there was lots to the finish.

Loved it, and now know how ripe I like them.

Fully ripe they are all over dark rose pink. Dorotas photo above is a good representation of the full ripe colour.
For sure they can be eaten a lighter pink if that’s your preference, some prefer that but fully ripe they are a very dark pink

I forgot to point out that I've had no problem with splitting since my first fruit. I had a 2nd hail storm that dinged up some fruit but the plant is still in good shape. I put up my shade cloth just for hail protection since my region is going through monsoons with violent storms almost daily.

Yes. That is accurate. I was using imprecise language.

And the taste of the fully ripe Karma Pinks are wonderful!
