Default Oh my, ya gotta try these....

We just had our first Shish**o peppers last night, sautéed in olive oil with sea salt sprinkled over them. Almost had a food fight, since my husband got a few more than I did! Next year I will definitely grow a minimum of 4 plants, not the measly 2 of this year.

Sounds delish!

I like them even better than Padron peppers. Haven't grown Shishi+o's in several years, maybe next year!

I had to write two words incorrectly in one post! Couldn't spell one pepper and don't have an accent mark key for the other.

TV's censor won't let us spell the pepper properly, that's why it looks a bit odd. Lets see, shi - shi - to; just run those letters together and you will see why.

isnt it silly.

I know the mods mean well but this is a filter I would probably add a bit more logic to. I see the filter work overtime when we discuss mushrooms.

Mushrooms? Now I have to ask what is there about mushrooms that needs a filter?

I just had these the other night. They were so awesome I had to make a blog post about it. I think my single plant is looking to be pretty prolific - 40 peppers or so from my first harvest and its only a foot tall.

This is my first year growing them but they're a keeper.

Do you leave the skin on those Shi Shi to's? Or does it come off when grilled? Are they hot? Sweet? Please advise.

Thanks,

Charley
