Default Rotting Peppers?

So, this is my first attempt at growing peppers in any volume in a few years. I tried Jalapenos several years ago, and the plants were snacked on when young. Ended up with 2 fruit from 5 plants. Last year I did 2 mini bell plants in a container with good success. This year I have 27 plants of various types (all sweet except Jalapeno).

Well, the medium to large bells appear to be afflicted with some form of rot. It isn't starting on the end, but instead on the side. The below pics show 4 fruit show various stages (or types?) of rot. What the heck is this?

I was thinking sunburn, but I didn't look as close as I should have so I ma withdrawing my original thought. sorry. After looking closer I am thinking a fungus, too. pick them off and toss them
You might want to try spraying with a fungicide earlier in the season next year, but try one now, too.
