Default Edammame advice?

So my kids devoured bowls of Edamame at our local sushi restaurant last month, so of course I have to plant some! I have four square feet for this adventure, and a new pack of Envy Soybean seeds ( short season, edamame recommended). Do I have to use an innocent if I have grown beans and peas there before? Will they still grow without it? Are they similar in growth habit to bush green beans?

Yes, the growth habit is similar to bush beans, and the plants require similar spacing. No inoculant should be necessary.

The Envy is a good choice. Soybeans are easy to grow. I recommend succession planting since each plant tends to produce all at once followed by a much reduced flush. Maybe plant a few seeds every 7 to 10 days and enjoy. There is nothing better than fresh edamame!
