Default Species succinctus (Largus Bug)

I searched for this topic and am surprised I could not locate it. I am having these busg guard a tomato and they are increasing in number. The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Services Entomologist confirmed they are Largus. However there is little about them I can research. Some indicate they will suck on plants and fruit, while some others indicate they also will feed on mites? I am likely going to hand pick them and remove them. Does anyone else know more and/or have advice?

Some bugs in this family are pretty versatile in diet, feeding on pests or on plants. But I think most agricultural experts classify them as pests when it comes to fruiting plants. So I would personally pick them off.

Looks similar to leaf footed bugs - though that orange coloring is strange. This guy calls it a sheild bug - https://www.flickr.com/photos/wcampelo/6320586522/

If so, that is a type of stink bug and should be shown a bucket of soapy water.
