https://www.google.com/search?q=Rega...&bih=788&dpr=1 A biofungicide,OK it targets which fungal diseases, that increases the plant natural defences,OK it also does that as well and aspirin is said to do the same/ I think it's best to read through some of the links in the above and make your own conclusions. And a darn good thing I also entered the word plant to my second attempt, since Regalia alone gave me some interesting info, but not plant related. Carolyn

Acetylsalicylic acid (aspirin) has been shown to induce resistance to tobacco mosaic virus. That doesn't mean it will induce resistance to other fungal, bacterial or viral pathogens. If it did, we would all be happy campers with no disease problems with a simple solution from our medicine cabinets.
REGALIA is a plant extract from Reynoutria sachalinensis (Giant Knotweed). It's registered for either control or suppression of certain pathogens on various crops. So you have to start on their website to see if it is effective for the disease(s) on the specific crops you are concerned with. Induced System Resistance is a complicated thing. Plants have a number of natural defense pathways against pathogens and pests. A plant that is already in high defense mode against a certain pathogen is more capable of defeating infection or at least suppressing that pathogen. |
