Ah, I see the confusion now. Under a legal thing, the price sticker on an item is considered an advertised price. So, as with Rajun's packages, they were advertised for sale at the listed ( on the sticker placed by the store) at that price. Legally, posting a price on a circular, signage, or sticker is considered advertising.

Common usage and legal usage is sometimes not the same, sorry I did not realize the confusion before.

My good friend that owned a gun shop had a light stroke.
I walked in and said I will buy everything on the shelf looking at powder and bullets.
What he exclaimed?
I see you have a hell of a sale going on.
What are you talking about?
A pound of gun powder for 2 dollars is a steal.
What?
Look Accurate 2700 for 2 dollars.
Crap lock the door dont let anyone in, this stroke is ticking me off big time.
Help me get this stuff fixed, S of a B I am glad you came in.

Thanks for the compliments.

Imp I had one of those coupons they hang buy the item for a dollar off mushrooms but it was a 2 pack limit.

I fell whipped. I cleaned out the pepper bed and the blackberry bed. I just fired up the drum for some ribs both pork and beef along with some pork steaks to make more tasso for beans.

It's warm here today, I have the attic vent fan set to 135° and it kicked on already.

Whipped myself too.
Got up at 5 AM had coffee and took off the beat the crowed.
More hot wings for me tonight and off the bed early again for a wee nap and reading for a few hours.

Just came up with a good tortilla chip, celery, carrot and hot wing dip.
Sour cream.
Chopped onion.
Garlic.
Ghost pepper sauce.
Lime juice.

Ahh, that explains it, LOL!! I sure wish turkey wings were as low priced here, they are my favorite part of the turkey. Well, the skin, too, LOL. I miss tasso, got introduced by a La. friend and it sure makes a difference.

You've been busy!

I happen to really like Diet Peach Snapple. I buy it by the 12 pack when it is on sale and stock up. Today I went to buy some reg. 10.99, on sale 2/10.99. Can't beat half price. So I bought 3. Turned out you only got the sale price if you bought 2 at a time. So they nicely agreed to let me go get another one and return one of my 3, and re-ring it as 2/10.99. So I would get an extra 12 pack for the same price. Manager got done, handed me the 2 cases of snapple and tried to hand me back my 10.99, too. I said, oh no, I can't take your money that is a mistake, you don't owe me anything. He was very appreciative. Could have had a bargain, but I wouldn't have felt right about it. I love a bargain as much as anyone, but I do draw a line sometimes. At least I will sleep well tonight.

A bargain is a bargain and IMO, you did the right thing. You still got a good deal and a clean conscience, too.

Edit:

Thawed out some of my on sale cod fillets and sauteed them, had a cabbage slaw to go with them. Turned out well enough and I have a fillet to make into a salad for tomorrow or a sandwich. Most likely a salad, I am craving greens.

Eaten tonight should not have been cheap for Jan and I. We went out to eat with the children and grandchildren. They paid full price... We got the senior discount

Robert, just eat and enjoy. They'll start carding you after you reach the SSD age. Meanwhile maybe you need to start moisturizing.

Just one more fry and I will toss out the oil.
It isn't foaming yet why not.
I turn on the burner and get involved in something else.
I smell the oil and food cooking.
I ignore it.
Then I look over and see a wee bit of smoke.
To devil with it toss it out and start over.
You can only be so cheap.

True. When todays' fried chicken tastes like last Friday's fried fish - it might be time to change the oil.

I have looked at and talked myself out of getting one of those fancy electric deep fryers I dont know how many times.
I have kettles up the wazoo and have no need for one.
I have kettles I never use and to be honest dont know where they are.
Now one kettle is for the most part reserved for frying only.
When the oil gets old I get it hotter than all get out and go kill some fire ants or a big weed.
