Both 21 Pea and Red Ripper need to be shelled. They're both great cowpeas.

I received "Tami G" seeds. Tami G is a hybrid. Does anyone know if these are F1 or somebody's grow out?

no, I didn't think so. Not sweet but not acidic in any unpleasant way. Tasted like a tomato should. Grown in ground in real clay loam soil in my garden.

Tami G seeds were saved from a plant I bought from a lady that grows garden vegetables as a small business. I bought one from her 4-5 years ago and saved seed that I planted for the next several years, then I failed to save seed and had to purchase a plant last spring. The seeds always grew true to type. They have a nice flavor, not overly sweet, and a tender skin. Grow in large trusses. They are red grape size.

Patti, I guess I did have that senior moment. After posting, I realized that I should have PMed you the info 'that I had to look up'. Then you could have just edited your post. I wasn't thinking at the time - that happens when I push myself too far working in the gardens or elsewhere.
