Thanks Gary, I think I'll just bring some without making a listing and see what happens. I'm looking forward to seeing you too, and I think I have Bonnie talked into coming.

CHOPTAG Plant Exchange
Melissa, that will be fine.
I have invited Bonnie the last several years. Last year she went to a roundup gathering in Cincinnati; she couldn't do both I guess. I may see her today or tomorrow; we begin our plant sale of Heirioom Tomatoes and I will be at Thieneman's all day today and tomorrow. Last year she had her camera and had our pictures taken and then posted it on the Tomato Thread at DG. Untill CHOPTAG Plant Exchange day! Gary

I have a couple of questions:
1. Mr. Tomatoaddict wants to know if he is allowed to bring Beer? 2. Do I need to bring paper plates and such? 3. If I bring an extension cord, can I make use of the outlet?

Sorry Mrs. Tomatoaddict, no alcohol in the park.
As for paper plates and such, everyone usually brings whatever is appropriate for the food they bring. It always seems to work out that we have plenty of plates, cups, plastic ware, etc. We have used the outlet in the past so I would say you can make use of the outlet.

Wow! I just realized that the Swap is THIS coming Sunday... only 1 week from today. It's truly amazing how time seems to creep along when it's cold weather, then BAM!... These warm-weather days fly by!
Looking forward to seeing everyone, Lisa

I'm sorry to say I won't be bringing any salad fixings to the plant share meet. I bought some spinach plants from Lowes [from Bonnie Farms] that had white flies on them and they moved to my lettuce and such. From now on I'll not bring any plants into my greenhouse without spraying them with Safer Soaf/Daconil and etc.
I'm pretty ticked-off at Lowes. They screwed me out of a whole springs worth of fresh salads as the WFs also got on my own homegrown stuff. Customer Service said they'd replace the plants, haha. Any plants I bring will be sprayed and safe, so/but you can always toss them out the window after you leave so as not to hurt my feelings. :-) I'll also be bringing Pulled-Pork, buns and BBQ sauce.

Okay,
I'm going to post what I'm bringing food wise if it helps anyone else make their food decisions. I am making a red bean salad that is awesome Choc. brownies and Peanut Butter brownies... and if I have the time, I might make some cornbread.... 8)

Well, would you all like to have a rematch of the pulled pork challenge or would you like me to bring something else from my BBQ bag of tricks?
It's your call. Let me know so I can buy ingredients if need be. I have about 80 lbs of Boston Butt in the freezer!! Gary, that stuff sounds DELICIOUS!! Can't wait to try it.

Ha! How true! I think it might rain in the next day or two, so I can take a break from gardening and go grocery shopping!
I will be bringing my organically grown spring salad mix and homemade honey-mustard dressing, along with radishes and spring onions. I will probably make a chocolate sheet cake too! (One can never have too much chocolate!) Lisa

Hi All,
I plan on being there on Sunday. Not sure what I'm bringing yet, life has been on the hectic side lately. Looking forward to a relaxing afternoon with some good friends (even if I haven't had time lately to keep in touch). Best Regards, Brian |

I'll be there...at some point...
Hi everyone...I will be there on Sunday as well...but have a family event with out of towners and all so I'm not sure when and for how long.
I'm not sure what I'll bring at this point...probably just fill a tray up with mater and pepper seedlings. I'm guessing I won't be there until 1:30 or so and hope that there is still a bit of BBQ hanging around. I saw some people had plants posted and lost track of who had claimed what...but I would love a Coyote (Tomato Addict) and I only germinated one Black Cherry and that just won't do so I was hoping to get one from Pres. Jerry and one from MissMudcat. Anyone with Sungold? My kids actually eat that one. I'm trying to get a co-worker to attend as well. Looking forward to spending at least a little time with you all. Weather forecast looks great! Mark |
