Default Cherry tomato poll?

I just wanted to do a poll to see which cherry tomatoes are the tastiest, just for fun (you can choose more than one).

You can add why you prefer a certain variety and why as well if you feel like it.
or
Add some different stand out varieties in the replies.

Thanks.

While somewhere between a cherry and saladette, my new favorite is Chadwick's. It's big tomato flavor in a small package, stayed healthy and very productive right through the season, and tomatoes were more rich/old fashioned than sweet.

It did just as well as Sungold this past summer which was a great sweet/snacking tomato, though many were put to use in a Pasta with Burst Cherry Tomato Sauce recipe...absolutely sublime!

Thanks

To be honest, growing up i never liked fresh tomatoes, just sauces and sun dried ones, but since i started growing them i have definitely come around.

I do prefer the more savoury (?) type of varieties rather than the sweet fruity ones personally, but i don't mind sweet ones.

Sungold consistently tastes good (once fully ripe). However, I much prefer Maglia Rosa and Blush (which are elongated cherries).

Cherry tomatoes are now officially the thing of the past; my wife has indicated I need not include them in next year's plan. She always wanted cherries for salads, but has decided cut up big tomatoes are better than the small ones. If a cherry tomato ever makes it into the garden it will be Black Cherry.

My mom's favorite is Dr. Carolyn. I have also liked Wild Tiger, an almost unknown one from J&LGardens, and Maglia Rosa.

I tried Black Cherry and Reisentraube from the list.

I voted for Reisentraube as Black Cherry's taste takes a big hit at the end of the season.

Reisentraube is a great producer, does not crack and keeps the taste together when the weather starts to change.

At least that's my experience

I really liked Lollipop, a flavorful bright yellow cherry. Would have grown some this year except that I was going with a yellow micro (Jochalos).

Garnet cherry is also a great tomato. Great tomato taste and production is great as well.

My 2 choices sound pretty boring compared to those on the list, but I really like Lg Red Cherry and Snow White...

If the labor of cutting cherries is an issue, do the "Rachael Ray" method of slicing them.

I've only grown four of those. I still grow Sungold, but would slap Reisentraube seeds out of someone's hand before they touched the starting mix!
