Default SVG sprout jacks

Put out a few skagit valley gold "sprout jacks" mid April, eating some golf ball sized ones as we speak.

The vines of SKAGIT VALLEY GOLD variety of potato grows fast and since pull spout plants tend to tuerize early ....I am not surprised that you have tubers to eat. You were able to grow the plants early taking advantage of the shorter days...which helps phureja type potatoes tuberize. Had they been set out now, the longer days may not have favored tuberization.

Exactly Tom! I have harvested, and replanted with pull starts recently taken. I like the idea of haveing them ready now when other market sellers are still without. They were quite tasty as well!
