Default New Black From Tula Cross

So my plots are always packed with way too many plants so accidental crosses are not unusual. I have a suspect as to who the other parent is but will probably never know. My BFT have always produced fairly modest sized plants with medium fruitset so I found it odd when a friend who I gave one of my seedlings to said that his BFT was twice the size of everything else in the garden. I noticed that my plants also had a heavier fruitset than normal and seemed rounder and smaller than I would expect. Sure enough, I seem to have a new cross. It has the lingering green shoulders of BFT but is rather obviously not. So my questions in narrowing down parentage are:

1. Since it has pink skin, does this indicate anything other than the fact that one parent is black skinned?

2. Are dimpled blossom ends recessive, dominant or neither?

Here is a picture. I had one that tasted a little tart but I am thinking that has more to do with the fact that I had it before it was ripe...

Working name until I stabilize this tomato: Pink From Syracuse

Hi Scott,

I think the other parent must be a pink.
Won't speculate about the dimpled blossom end.
