I took a few pics today in the rain.

Cheiro Roxa: http://i.imgur.com/JP6iN45.jpg

I did not realize that one is actually supposed to be eaten. Here's a link about it:

Very impressive! You have some of the best ornamentals I've seen. I just love Roseto with the big-leaf plants in the background.

Cheiro Roxa is reminiscent of Starfish or Bishop's Crown. Is it a large plant?

Thanks. Cheiro Roxa is my biggest plant, yes. The Roseto also takes well to a large container and will grow a big plant. Maybe the other ones would, too, but a lot of them seem happy in a smaller container, like Chile Conga and Razzmatazz. For some reason, Razzmatazz seems to be the only variety that gets eaten by whatever bugs I have, not that badly, though. I never sprayed any of the plants.

Default Most Flavourful Looker

Should you be inclined, I'd enjoy reading your tasting notes on those varieties. You may hit some blandness, some bitterness (especially with unripes), but there could be surprises to the upside.

Maybe I'm easy, but I've yet to encounter an ugly Capsicum or one with inedible fruit.

You can eat any of them or make a ferment.

Very pretty! One of the great things I tell folks about the ornamental peppers is how well they actually will do and how they can enhance a flower bed when planted next to and among the their flowers.

I just ate the first one. It was really good, thick-walled, juicy, and just a little bit of heat. It tastes like a spicy red bell. It's going to be the perfect salsa pepper. I hope to grow a lot of them next year.

Hmm: a heart-shaped pickler.

I keep careening from tomato lust to chile lust around here.

Cherry Moon shows nice production for such a small container:

Roseto, falling over, but makes a nice effect:

Razzmatazz: http://i.imgur.com/P7G49DQ.jpg

Note the minor bug damage. It's the only plant my bugs seem to like. I think it's pretty enough that a market customer might actually buy it, if I could keep the bugs away.

The Roseto is a hanging basket candidate. Looking great.
