I ordered some from Tomato Growers Supply around the first of the year along with other some varieties. Although I received the others last week, unfortunately the New Big Dwarf was back-ordered.

NBD is ideal for a container. It's a dwarf, but you'll still need to stake it or it will fall over. I've grown it a couple of times in a clay plot (roughly 5 gal). I stake it with a piece of rebar or bamboo that goes thru the drain hole of the pot and into the ground.

Craig-Agree completely. But I would be thrilled to get ripe nbd fruit in 60 days-wow! What stage are your plants when you set them out?

Michael, I planted the seed on Feb 24, was transplanted into a 4 inch pot on March 25, then was planted into a 5 gallon grow bag in my driveway on May 3, picked the first ripe fruit on July 6. So, the plant was 38 days old when it was transplanted. Total number of days from seed to fruit was 132 days. How does this compare with your timings?

You are a good record keeper-I am not. I gotta go back and see if I can figure out my numbers-sowing to ripe fruit. I tend to sow late and put the plants in the ground while smaller than a lot of people.

I was going to order New Big Dwarf, but the 90 day DTM that I saw scared me away. Now I see it may be much less. ARRGGH! Now I wish I had ordered it.

Ruth, they were expecting to get NBD in last Fri. I don't know if that happened but we should expect them to follow soon.

Natural, I caved and ordered some. If you want, I can throw some your way when I get them.
