I have had great results with Mittlieder fertilizer. I have a very small garden so instead of making my own, I just purchase it off from Amazon - the premade All purpose Mittlieder fertilizer. No more hunting for 15-15-15 or heavy mixing for me. :-)

It's a lot cheaper to just buy a bag of 10-10-10 or 14-14-14 (about $20) then add the Mittlieder Micronutrients ($14.99) and 4 lbs. of Epson Salt from Walmart $5.00.

Then you will have 29 lbs. of fertilizer for about $40. But if your garden is very small then this might be too much for you. It would last a long time though.

Also Lowes sells a white 5 gallon food grade bucket for I think $4.48 http://www.lowes.com/pd_546960-1152-...bucket+and+lid

and you can buy a special pressure sealed lid for it that keeps out all moisture etc. and very easy twist off lid. It's great for fertilizer. Cost $7.28

I have been using 5-10-10 for a couple of years now in my earth trainers. I have been replacing the growth media by a third every year. Should I switch to TT?
