Pink Potato leaf similar to Rebel Yell....

What would you suggest as an alternative to Rebel Yell? Looking for something similar in taste and size. Any suggestions?

Elgin Pink is very good, it is one of the best I have trialed.

I highly recommend Chef's Choice Pink (hybrid). I grew it for the first time last year and was amazed by its size, productivity, and Taste! The tomatoes in my avatar pic are Chef's Choice Pinks; I had several that topped 1.5 lbs...

Just for schlitz and giggles, I saved some seed. We'll see what I get...!

Also, I just received my pack of Chef's Choice Black seeds from TotallyTomatoes. I'm excited about this new hybrid!

Yes, German Queen would be on my shortlist. I will add my family's favorite. Henderson's Pink Ponderosa. It definitely has the taste, but it also simply looks better than most others.

One of the reasons I wanted to try Rebel Yell, aside from the good reviews here, was the fact that Stump of the World is a parent. I always liked that one, and if memory serves me, they are fairly similar. Both are really good.

I'd go with the parent, Stump of the World. Any descendants would not be an improvement, in my book. I trialed "Rebel Yell" many years go, but it was likely from not yet stable seed, so was not likely the Rebel Yell that is known today.

I agree, one of my favourite pinks! And a really good producer in my garden, much better than the various Brandywine varieties.

I would also suggest to try Marianna’s Peace, but make sure to get seeds from the strain with smooth shoulders

Elgin Pink, in my garden, is by far the sweetest pink beefsteak that l have ever trialed. It's taste is similar to many bicolor beefsteaks.

Thanks for this Tormato, definitely don't want a sweet tomato and not how'd I would classify Rebel Yell at all. Doesn't seem to be a commercial seed source for Elgin Pink either. Pruden's Purple, was another I was debating however.

In my growing conditions it has plenty of acid to balance the sweet.
