You folks have my sympathy, I know what that sort of heat is like, part of our summer routine and we are prepared for it, with AC and or swampy coolers. If the humidity stays low it is much easier to cope with that when the humidity is high.

Our temps here are forecast to be around 12 or 13C during the day, with nights of 2 or 3 for the next 5 days, Tuesday night 0C, so a light frost or two coming our way.

In a couple of months the heat wave will be only a memory. Then it's back to cool, damp, rainy autumn weather and it is time to pile on more and more clothes.
Actually, protective clothing is the best choice against heat as well. Too much skin exposed only makes the problem worse.

Default It' s Over

The temps are back to normal 20 C. Cold fronts are comming through bringing rain with.

They had the German F1 Grand Prix today at Hockenheimring Baden-Württemberg. As soon as they started the race so did the rain. For most of the race pit crews were changing tires to figure the best rain tire to use as the Safety car came out due the cars sliding off the track.

Max Verstappen won the race and Vettel came in second and finally had a top 3 finish.

Our long run of 16-17Cdeg days (average max this time of year is 12) comes to and end Wednesday with a air mass off the ice shelf due, dont think it will bring snow to my elevation though (273 metres above sea level) TF, pain in the arse snow, if we do get some I will have to get out there with the rake and knock it off my 40 feijoa bushes, there branches are very brittle and snap off easily, same with the Loquat.

Glad to see you guys back to normal.
Here it is in the 90's but the humidity has been hovering around 50%.
Perfect pepper drying weather and easy to keep cool too.

August weather is almost here in my neck of the woods. Temperatures around 100F are forecasted. I was hoping to get to experience a summer with no 100 degree days. It has only happened twice since the late 1800s.

We just finished our heat wave week, with humidex to 35 C - that was the highest I saw for outdoors but I know it was worse in the house at times. I was downright sick. But it's over now and raining and the forecast is peaking in the low 70's F/ 20-21 C, normal!!!! Yay for the normal Newfoundland summer, it's just the way I like it.

Snow was forecast two days ago but nothing came of.

Now warmer weather is due for the next five days, starting to think we will get through the 4th winter in a row with no snow.
Might give my Raineys Multese seedlings some outdoor time in the sun today

I'll be up tomorrow! LOL

Great pics...beautiful color in that coat. Lots of bucks in velvet here but I usually don't have a camera with me. Whitetails, I mean. They aren't coming out until evening due to the heat, but on a cool rainy day they'd be out early.

The little fella was right outside my window - pics taken from inside my office. I'm certain this is the same guy for three years now, since he was a tiny waif. Calling him Teen Moose, but maybe not next year....
