I bit. The hook would have been set further had it said "Blue Note Jazz."

I just placed an order with you today Fred, so when I saw the title I was like, Whaaaat??? Did I miss something again!? You had me, you really did.
![]() But see, it wouldn't surprise me one bit that one day you WILL have a tomato with this name. ![]() |

Anybody can have blue tomatoes! All you need is a paint brush!

Blue Bumble Bee would be pretty cool.
I'm yet to see a blue tomato with stripes. I bet you could do it. |

I have seen blue bumblebees. I think multiple people are working on them!

I have some seeds called Bosque Blue Bumblebee. But they don't look striped.

No, Bosque Bumblebees are not striped, they are just gold and blue/black, but I have Dark Tiger and Black Strawberry, which are striped. The combination draws attention at the farmer's market and chefs like them.

I'm thinking the unknown cherry variety I grew that I have been calling "Black & Brown Boar Cherry" must be Dark Tiger.

It might be Dark Tiger, but they are larger than a cherry tomato. The other one I forgot to mention is Tom Wagner's Muddy Waters.

PS Breeders, may I suggest the name "Canica" for a multicolored one with stripes. (emphasis on middle syllable) Last edited by Gerardo; October 7, 2015 at 11:20 AM. |

I grew Muddy Waters this year, its the one in my Avatar. It was a gorgeous tomato on the plant, but taste just wasnt there for me. Although mine did stay compact and produced well, I dont know that they will be returning. To be fair though, they didnt have the best spot in the garden and this year was an odd one for me with weather and other growing conditions. Taste could have been adversly affected by that. |
