There are better blacks imo. Lots of them but if you want to grow this one I’ll send you a few seeds if you agree to save seeds and send me a few back to refresh my supply.

If you say there are many better black tomatoes I believe you and after all if Purple Price was that good it would be more popular. I was just as much interested in the history of it as much as anything.

I really do very much appreciate the offer though, very much and Thank You.
Here is some more history on Purple Price I found buried in a Purple Prince thread.
As usual Carolyn is the source of the history.

"discourteous, rude, and disrespectful of others reflects on your own self."

Really Imp?

I have been nothing like that. ESPECIALLY NOT IMPLYING WHAT ORIFICE YOU'D TELL ME TO PUT THAT PIPE! THAT WAS RUDE AND DISGUSTING!!

But I like that you wrote that then attempt to insult me, which I'm sure no moderator will mention to you.

I have reached out to Mischka regarding your message. Unwarranted!!

If you have an issue with me, just PM me! I'll listen and we'll chat politely.

If you haven’t tried it yet, an Australian tomato called Margaret Curtain is one I would highly recommend. Productive, fairly early and really delicious IMO.

I agree that Margaret Curtain is very tasty and productive. I'm thinking of growing it next year instead of Indian Stripe.

My, doesn't feel so much like fun when some one is rude back to you, is it?! You seem to not like it when some one else treats you as you have been doing to Carolyn, in public threads. Why should I extend you the courtesy of a PM when you did not extend the same courtesy to Carolyn?

You've been rather discourteous, and disrespectful to Carolyn at least several times, yet you demand courtesy in return?!

Even if you do not respect Carolyn's knowledge, kindness, or as an elder, you also indirectly disrespected Mishcka by being disrespectful of one of his mods.

Imply?

<cue sarcasm>

No, I thought it was quite clear exactly where I think your head is, firmly lodged up your behind, to put it in simpler terms. Do you see exactly what I meant now? Oh so sorry, of course you can't see, poor thing, but think of the money you can save on a colonoscopy now.

BTW, only YOU can save your head. ( <---intoned just like the old tv commercial "Only YOU can prevent forest fires")

</sarcasm>

LOL, I already self reported my own post, because it was rude, and was intended to be rude, but is against the rules.

So, yes, I broke a rule, but if one doesn't stand up for one's friends, then it makes one a pretty poor friend. One has to stand up for and with one's friends.

If I am punished, I'll accept it, because I DID break the rules and will bear any consequences of that action, but not retract, apologize or regret any remark I have made to you.

Yes, both Margaret Curtain and Anna Margaret are on my grow list again, for next year. Both very good tasting tomatoes and had been productive for me before.

Imp, keep talking. You're only making yourself out to be a bigger fool than we thought you were!

Three recommendations for Margaret Curtain and I happen to have seeds for that one. That is a good sign

If my post make me a "bigger fool", then that is fine.

Have a nice day.

I think it's time to review what the Terms of Service (TOS) are here at Tomatoville and which all who are registering are supposed to agree to before being fully registered.

I looked at the user names of those who had read it, but I don't know if it's a complete list.

Here's the link to the TOS,which can also be found on the right hand side at the bottom of the page.

Thank you Carolyn. Also a gentle reminder that PM's are Private and not to be shared. A private message is private.

It's funny how a 'moderator' posts about the rules, but when a 'friend' posts rude and disgusting posts they are neither removed or reprimanded. What a joke!

I guess it's ok if you know the moderator...hmmm...

please note from your link above

(Private messages are not routinely monitored by administrators or moderators. If you receive one that you would like one of us to review, you must use the forwarding option.)

The key word being routinely.

Can it be done? Yes,theoretically but one has to have several passwords to enter the major control panel here, no different from several other message sites where I've been a MOD in the past. I was given those passwords when I found myself as a Global MOD here and told M I wouldn't be a Global Mod here if I had to go into the control panel and that b/c I was at a site where anything a Global Mod did had to be recorded, again everything she/he did and I was NOT EVER going to do that again. He agreed with that.

Greg, I'm going to post here and hopefully choose the right words so you can better understand why I felt I had to answer your above post.

First, yes it was me who posted the TOS guidelines, but anyone could from the link at the bottom of the page on the right, and that has been done. I mentioned no names at all, and that on purpose .And please don't ask me to prove that since no way am I going to do retroactive searching that far back.

What is a friend? I have many here at Tville from many countries, and they in turn consider me a friend based on our interactions over the years.

You posted

(but when a 'friend' posts rude and disgusting posts they are neither removed or reprimanded. What a joke!)

I have no friends who would post rude and disgusting posts, true friends don't do that to each other.

Why don't you consider this option. You can set things up so you don't have to read any post I've made here at Tville. It's called blocking someone. I can't block others for two reasons. First, most , but not all of the threads and posts that go bad are in the 2 cents off topic Forum as well as in General Discussion. In addition, even if I was just a non mod registered member here I wouldn't do that. My choice and not the kind of person I am.

And it's only Global Mods that can and do moderate in those two Forums.Non Global Mods can only moderate in those Forums they are responsible for. And some of those non Global Mods are very quick to report to a Global Mod,or directly to Mischka when they see something in those two places that they think needs ASAP attention.

So please consider blocking me so you don't have to read what I post and that should solve the problem, that is, you with me especially but also me with you..

Please clarify, someone suggesting to shove a pipe up my a## is not rude and disgusting? Do you not feel, as a moderator, that that post, or posts, need to be removed and said poster reprimanded?
I sure do and I'm sure many other feel the same.

As a moderator, I'm thinking you can have the power to get that done. Is it because you don't like me the reason for it staying there for days?

I'm confused. If I directed anything like that towards you, WHICH I HAVEN'T, those posts would disappear quite quickly.

We have seen posts like those, and not as harsh removed before. Plenty of times over the years.

You say you have no friends who post things like that, but the poster claims to be your friend as well. Hmmm..
