Lisa, I didn't make the broccoli salad, but I've had something similar. So in case you needed a recipe right away while you're waiting for whoever brought it to see your request, here's a similar recipe:
Broccoli Salad * 8 slices bacon * 2 heads fresh broccoli in florets * 1/4 c red wine vinegar * 2 T white sugar * 2 t ground black pepper * 1 t salt * 2/3 c mayonnaise * 1 t fresh lemon juice * 1 1/2 c sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded * 1/2 large red onion, chopped DIRECTIONS: 1. Cook bacon crisp, drain, and crumble. 2. Blanch broccoli florets 1 minute, then run under cold water and drain well. (I use a salad spinner to get it good and dry.) Cover and chill. 3. Whisk together the red wine vinegar, sugar, pepper, salt, mayonnaise and lemon juice. Add cheese, bacon, and onion. Cover and chill. (Recipe can be prepared up to this point a day ahead.) 4. Just before serving, combine dressing and broccoli. |

You're welcome! Let me know how it turns out, and if it was what you were hoping for!
