2007 CHOPTAG Taste Fest
The 2007 CHOPTAG Taste Fest will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2007. It will be held at Paxton-Ramsey Park on the East side of Cincinnati, Ohio from 12 noon until 5pm.
http://www.miamitwp.org/recreation/parks/paxton/paxton.htm This is the same site as last year and the same site where we are holding our Plant Swap on May 6th of his year. http://tomatoville.com/showthread.php?t=3818 Everyone is welcome to join us. This is a family affair, so bring the kids, the parents, the grandparents and anyone else that likes tomatoes. While it is our intention for everyone to share their tomato harvest, it’s OK if you don’t have any tomatoes to bring . You are still welcome. Most folks bring some type of food other than tomatoes to share also, but that is not a requirement either. Our only real requirement is you have of love of tomatoes and want to share some fun with other tomato lovers. So mark your calendars and plan to join us for a great afternoon. Check out the CHOPTAG web site for some pictures of past events. http://www.ih.k12.oh.us/estech/mark/garden/choptag.htm

Hi Jerry,
Thanks for posting this info. so far in advance. Gary invited me last year, but I could not attend. I plan on coming this year. The advance notice is great for me because I work weekends and must request off summer weekends far in advance. Anyway, I will be coming from Buffalo, NY and will need to get a room somewhere close to the park. If you (or someone else reading this) could let me know of a few that would be great. Thanks, Remy

CHOPTAG Taste Fest
Remy, I think it is great that you are planning to join us in August for our Taste Fest! I'm really looking forward to meeting the both of you! Gathering with the CHOPTAG folks always exceeds my expectations! They are a fine group of folks interested in growing good tomatoes.
I hope you are seeing some signs of spring there. Best wishes for a great garden this season! Gary

Marked the calendar! I plan to be there with the whole gang! CAN'T WAIT... but right now, it'd be nice if the sun would come out and dry up all the snow! :-) I'm itching to sow some greens!

Bizzare, you plan on coming all the way from MT.? Not that you're not wanted, just it's quite a trip......
P.S. I can't believe no one has commented on my little avatar of the smoking baby. I couldn't help myself. It was too funny when I saw it.

ooooh me too!
there is a small tomato gathering in Nashville, but my dad lives in Cincy and I can always use an excuse to go visit! Ditto Remy about the needing advance notice- I dont work weekends but im one of a very few folks in the region, thus, much planning needed. I might actually have tomatoes to bring! |
